New Board of Directors of the Chilean Institute of Genealogical Research: DNA and Genealogy Joins the Board

Last Thursday, November 21, the annual report and election of the new board of directors of the Chilean Institute of Genealogical Research (ICHIG) took place at the Club de la Unión, a historic building dating back to 1864 located in downtown Santiago.


On this occasion, a vote was held to renew the board for a two-year term, during which Ruby Baeza and Pablo Blanco, members of DNA and Genealogy, were elected.

The team assuming their roles for the next term is comprised of:

  • President: Mr. Jorge Del Real Westphal

  • Vice President: Mr. Manuel José Ureta Álamos

  • Main Secretary: Mr. Cristián Mujica Escudero

  • Chancellor: Mr. Pablo Blanco Traverso

  • Director of the Journal of Historical Studies: Mr. Cristián Cofré León

  • Treasurer: Ms. Ruby Baeza Elizondo

  • Librarian: Ms. Patricia Hurtado Llona
